Richmond’s park pavilions and athletic fields are available to rent 365 days a year, on a first-come, first-served basis to any person 21 years or age or older. 

Park Rental Application - All new permit and license applications will be processed though the MyGovernmentOnline portal. Please go to https://mgoconnect.org/cp/info-account to create an account. From there you can search for Richmond as your jurisdiction.    Please click here to access a variety of articles to help get familiarized with the new portal. We appreciate your patience throughout this process as we move to serve you better.

Rental costs are $10.00 per hour for pavilions without lights and $25.00 per hour with lights. Please consider our park facilities when planning your next birthday party, shower, family or holiday gathering! For larger events and/or special events, health permits may be required.

Park Reservation and Facility Use Policies:

The Parks Department is committed to providing quality park facilities for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Richmond. Park Reservation and Facility Use Policies have been established by City Commission for the use and reservation of parks, pavilions, and gazebos. It is the responsibility of park facility users to follow the City's Park Reservation and Facility Use Policies.

Reservation Guidelines

  • Richmond parks, fields and pavilions are free to use on a first come, first serve basis provided no reservations exist. Anyone showing a City Park Permit has precedence for use.
  • City park facilities are available to rent by residents and non-residents, 21 years of age or older.  Park facilities are open 365 days per year and may be used between established park operating hours.
  • All reservations for park permits must be made in person at the Richmond City Hall Annex during regular business hours; phone reservations will be taken but not finalized until payment is made in full in person.
  • City of Richmond park facilities may not be sub-leased or used for the purpose of making a profit.
  • The person signing the rental permit must handle all transactions, inquiries or changes and be present at all times during the rental.
  • All reservations may not be made earlier than 30 days prior and no later than 48 hours prior to the reservation date.
  • City of Richmond activities will be given priority at all times; the City reserves the right to change or cancel any reservation that may conflict with those events.
  • Any event involving large groups, the general public and/or street closures must schedule a meeting with the Parks Department staff and complete a Special Event Permit Application, which can be found on the City’s website.
  • Any event where food will be sold or given to the general public requires a permit from the City’s Health Department.
