The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's public streets; bridges; drainage system; capital improvement projects, solid waste; water service; wastewater; and recycling. The Public Works Department is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to the citizens of Richmond.

Office Hours

The City of Richmond Public Works Department provides 24 hour response to requests for Public Works related emergency services. To report an emergency during normal working hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday), call the Public Works Department at 281-342-0559.

After Hours

To report emergencies after normal working hours or on weekends, please call 281-342-0559 to reach the answering service, who will then contact the appropriate personnel. When reporting an emergency, please provide your name, address, phone number and a brief explanation of the nature of the emergency.
