City of Richmond – Upcoming General Elections

The next General Election for the City of Richmond, if called, will be Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The following office will appear on the ballot in the 2026 City of Richmond General Election for a
three-year term:

Mayor (Office currently held by Rebecca K. Haas)

Key Dates for the 2026 City of Richmond General Election
The filing period for a place on the ballot is as follows:

• First Day to File: Wednesday, January 14, 2026
• Last Day to File: Friday, February 13, 2026

Elections in the City of Richmond are conducted in accordance with the  Texas Election Code  and the  City of Richmond Home Rule Charter  For more information, contact the City Secretary’s Office at 281-342-5456 ext. 504 or email citysecretary@richmondtx.gov

Complete Candidate Packets will be available beginning January 14, 2026, for pickup from the City Secretary’s Office or by download.
