(Richmond, Texas)- Richmond City Commission has approved a Construction Services Contract for $3,688,888.88 to Hurtado Construction for Rabbs Bayou/ Second Street Drainage project. The project involves stormwater drainage improvements, constructing a new outfall and widening Rabbs Bayou, constructing a 2-acre detention pond, elevating Second Street from Preston to Commerce Streets, and furnishing and installing multiple water line and sanitary sewer line relocations, manholes and other appurtenances.

This project aligns with the City’s Comprehensive Master Plan and demonstrates Richmond’s commitment to leverage public investments to enhance the existing community and promote growth.
