(Richmond, Texas)- Richmond Commission approved an amendment to the temporary resale of water rights to Dow Chemical Company under the System Water Availability Agreement with Brazos River Authority (BRA). The City of Richmond and Brazos River Authority entered into a System Water Availability Agreement in September 2019 for 2773 acre-feet of raw water per fiscal year for municipal purposes. This temporary amendment allows Dow Chemical Company to utilize the water Richmond secured from BRA for future growth and pay the annual cost until it is needed by the City.
