Jesse Torres was born and raised in Richmond Texas and spent his life connected to the residents of Richmond, beginning his career path with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office. He has been married to his wife, Dina, for 39 years and has 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
After his work with the County Sheriff's office, Jesse moved into city law enforcement with the City of Rosenberg Police Department for 14 years. He then moved to the private sector with Kroger where he has been for the last 17 years. He helped open Rosenberg's large prototype concept at Brazos Town Crossing. Jesse's commitment to his community led him to the Lamar ISD Board where he served for 15 years. Jesse was then elected to Richmond's City Commission in 2014 for a one year term. He was reelected to that position for the current 3 year term where he hopes to better serve the constituents.
