The mission of Sanitation is to provide timely and optimal removal of residential and commercial refuse and recycling materials. It is our goal to enhance the city be expediting prompt removal of all items placed curbside on the day of collection.

Republic Services is responsible for solid waste and recycling services for the City. Republic Services manages the residential solid waste program, commercial solid waste program, and recycling program. The City of Richmond contracts with Republic Services to provide solid waste and recycling services to residents of Richmond in a manner that is safe, efficient, environmentally sound and cost-effective.

2018 Spring "Household Items Only" Clean Up (Please click the link for the flyer and map.)

Saturday, April 14th - This one day collection will be for the residents North of the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks including Rivers Edge Subdivision (MUD 140).

Saturday, April 21st This one day collection will be for the residents East of the Brazos River; Fountains at Jane Long Farms Subdivision; Area East of South 7th Street and North of Wheaton Street and Burnet Street.

Saturday, April 28th - This one day collection will be for the residents in Del Webb (MUD 187), Williams Ranch (WR MUD 1) and the remainder of the City.

Time:  Household Only Items Must Be Curbside Before 7:00 A.M.

Location Of Items:  All Items Must Be Stacked At The Curb

Limit:  20 Cubic Yards (20 Cubic Yards = 15 Feet Long, 12 Feet Wide, And 3 Feet Tall.) - Please see the flyer for items that will not be collected or allowed.

Note: This Clean Up Campaign excludes Riverwood (MUD 19), Canyon Gate at the Brazos (MUD 116), Riverpark West (MUD 121), Veranda (MUD 215) and Rio Vista (MUD 145).

 

2018 Spring Shred Event - Saturday, April 14th

Keep Richmond Beautiful and the City of Richmond will sponsor 2 document shred trucks on Saturday, April 14th at Richmond City Hall located at 402 Morton Street. Free documents shredding onsite from 9:00 am to Noon. ID Required - Please bring your City of Richmond water bill stub for ID Purposes.
