The mission of Sanitation is to provide timely and optimal removal of residential and commercial refuse and recycling materials. It is our goal to enhance the city be expediting prompt removal of all items placed curbside on the day of collection.

Republic Services is responsible for solid waste and recycling services for the City. Republic Services manages the residential solid waste program, commercial solid waste program, and recycling program. The City of Richmond contracts with Republic Services to provide solid waste and recycling services to residents of Richmond in a manner that is safe, efficient, environmentally sound and cost-effective.

Wednesday, February 20th – Best Trash delivers new garbage carts

Thursday, February 21st – Best Trash delivers new recycling carts

Friday, March 1st – Republic Services collects trash carts and recycling bins. (Last day for trash service and recycling.)

Monday, March 4th – Best Trash services begin

2019 Spring Clean Up CampaignFlyer and Map Link

Saturday, April 13th - This one day collection will be for the residents North of the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks.

Saturday, April 20th - This one day collection will be for the residents East of the Brazos River; Fountains at Jane Long Farms Subdivision; Area East of South 7th Street and North of Wheaton Street and Burnet Street.

Saturday, April 27th - This one day collection will be for the residents in Del Webb (MUD 187), Williams Ranch (WR MUD 1) and the remainder of the City.

Time:  Household Only Items Must Be Curbside Before 7:00 A.M.

Location of Items:  All items must be stacked at the curb

Limit:  20 Cubic Yards (20 Cubic Yards = 15 Feet Long X 12 Feet Wide, And 3 Feet Tall.)

This Clean Up Campaign EXCLUDES River's Edge Subdivision (MUD 140), Riverwood (MUD 19), Canyon Gate at the Brazos (MUD 116), Riverpark West (MUD 121), Rio Vista (MUD 145) and Veranda (MUD 215).

2019 SPRING DOCUMENT SHRED EVENT - Keep Richmond Beautiful and the City of Richmond will sponsor 2 document shred trucks on Saturday, April 6th at Richmond City Hall located at 402 Morton Street. Free document shredding onsite from 9:00 am to Noon. ID Required - Please bring your City of Richmond water bill stub for ID Purposes
