Fall Clean Up Campaign Still Appreciated in the Community
The City of Richmond and Republic Services partnered once again to bring the semi -annual Clean Up Campaign across 3 weekends in October for the 2017 Fall Clean Up. This Clean Up Campaign occurs Spring and Fall to assist citizens in eliminating large item household waste. While so much has centered on Harvey waste, residents not impacted still had needs since 26.43 tons of large item waste was collected throughout the City. The Fall Clean Up Campaign was segmented across three Saturdays in October, with different areas defined for each of these ‘one day collection’ days .
Once again, the KRB organization (Keep Richmond Beautiful- an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful) sponsored a Document Shred Event the first Saturday, October 7th, with many volunteers assisting. That event added another 8,610 lbs. or 3.91 tons of documents! Way to go Richmond in helping to beautify our great City!
