Friday Morning Update
Good Morning Richmond,
If a picture paints a thousand words, so does the graph I am attaching to this post. Although we are remaining at major flood level for several days, the downward slope on the graph is a very welcomed sight. The river is at 54.4 feet at this time. It will be slow in its decline. Please remain cautious as this event is not over by any means.
Starting at 10:00 this morning, a Citizen’s Recovery Center will be set up at the corner of Riveredge and Highway 90A to provide information regarding recovery and rebuilding efforts. The center will be staffed by the City of Richmond, Red Cross, and possibly FEMA. The hours will be 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM / 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The flood waters are dangerous and will be around throughout the weekend and into next week. Please stay out of the water if at all possible. Stay tuned for further information.
