Just an Update:
We are continuing to monitor the situation for you. The Brazos River is predicted to remain at major flood level, over 50 feet, through Monday, June 6, 2016. This takes into account all of the predicted rain and up-stream storms. We realize this is going to be a long term event. I assure you, we will be working around the clock throughout the duration of this event to keep you informed and take care of your concerns. Hang in there.
We would like to send out a big thank you to David Finley and Everett Kennedy from Del Web Sweetgrass who provided lunch for those of us working in the Emergency Operations Center. They also brought water and snacks to distribute to the first responders working in the field. Another big thank you goes out to Richmond resident Vicki Seely. Mrs. Seely provided lunch from Olive Garden on Monday and several other items today. Our citizens are awesome.
Here are some more photos of the River Edge area near the bridge. Please keep the victims of this flood in your thoughts.
